Vision benefits are administered by Cigna Vision.
The Cigna Vision benefit is serviced by the EyeMed insight network. When you use in-network coverage, the Plan pays more, so be sure to use a vision provider in the Insight network. See more details below on how to view in-network providers.
NOTE: Vision is a separate election. Your medical plan option may not cover an annual eye exam. Routine Vision Care exams are not covered under the Cigna medical plan options. The Kaiser medical plan option does offer a Routine Vision Care exam.
The Cigna Vision plan features:
- $25 materials copay for any lenses
- $200 frame allowance, plus a 20% savings on amount above allowance
- Allowance applies towards cost of exam, fitting and contact lens
- Polycarbonate lenses for children under 19 years of age
- Safety Eyewear coverage – one pair every 12 months up to $45 allowance (employee coverage only). Coverage will not supersede any local site support for prescription safety glasses ; Employees should work with local HR for prescription safety glasses needs first
- Coverage and claims viewable on myCigna.com
Be sure to confirm that your provider participates in the network so you can receive the in-network level of benefits. Go to eyedoclocator.eyemedvisioncare.com/cigna/en click on Find a Provider. Then, enter your zip code and select Insight from the network drop down to get a list of in-network providers in your area.
