Stanley Black & Decker gives you the ability to choose your doctors and manage your care. You have up to four options for medical coverage, all through Cigna depending upon your home ZIP code:‍

1. Basic Health Savings Account (HSA) Plan
2. Plus Health Savings Account (HSA) Plan
3. Open Access Plus (OAP) Plan
4. LocalPlus Open Access (OAP) Plan

You can enroll yourself, your spouse or domestic partner and/or eligible dependents for coverage. The option you choose will apply to you and all covered dependents for the full plan year.

All of the Cigna medical options:

• Cover pre-existing conditions
• Cover preventive wellness check-ups and screenings at 100%
• Offer Cigna health coaching
• Include the same prescription drug coverage
• Don’t require referrals to see specialists
• Offer 24/7/365 Virtual Care services through MDLive
• Cap your financial exposure through an annual out-of-pocket maximum
• Include access to:
  – Cigna virtual care services through MDLive
  – My Medical Ally for surgery decision support and medical information (note: program requirement for elective surgeries including low back, hip, knee, hysterectomy and weight loss)
  – Livongo by Teladoc Health for chronic condition management support of pre-diabetes, diabetes and hypertension
  – Healthy Pregnancies, Healthy Babies, Health Coaching and more

Keep in mind, there are a few notable differences:

• The Cigna Basic HSA, Plus HSA and basic OAP options provide in and out of network levels of coverage under the National Open Access Plus network of providers
• The Cigna LocalPlus OAP option only offers in network coverage using the LocalPlus network. LocalPlus does not offer any out-of-network coverage except for emergencies.

Regardless of which option you choose, all of the Cigna medical options offer quality and affordable coverage for you and your family.

You will receive ID cards if you enroll in medical coverage. Once you enroll and your coverage becomes effective (typically, within 1 week of completing your enrollment), ID cards will be mailed to you. Physical ID cards are mailed to you in approximately two to three weeks following enrollment. Once your coverage is effective, you can register for your myCigna.com account with a user ID and password of your choice, either online or using the MyCigna mobile app. Electronic cards will be accessible once you are logged into your MyCigna account. To receive services, please show your physical or digital ID card with your provider.

The Kaiser Traditional HMO plan is offered to employees in California who reside in a Kaiser coverage area. The plan costs more out of your paycheck as compared to SBD’s HSA plans, but you spend less when you visit the doctor. Preventive care is covered at 100% with no copay. Other than preventive care, you will pay a copay for services. Remember to see in-network doctors for maximum savings.
